What causes undigested food to appear in stool?
Certain foods, including high-fiber foods and sweetcorn, are more difficult to digest than others. It is normal for a person to notice undigested bits of these foods in their stool. If undigested food in the stool occurs with other symptoms, including diarrhea, they may have a medical condition, such as Crohn’s or IBS.
